1. 1. Gather all necessary materials, including the pipe sock and a method of securing it (zip ties, metal clamp, ratchet straps for larger pipes, etc.).


2. 2. If using a clamp or other securing method that is already closed, slide the equipment on to the hose or pipe before installation.


3. 3. Insert the hose or pipe into the filter sock.


4. 4. Bring the securing method around both the dewatering sock and pipe.


5. 5. Tighten the securing equipment, so it firmly anchors the hose or pipe and the dewatering sock together.


6. 6. Begin flow into the pipe sock, ensuring no excess liquid flows out from the clamped area.
