Undergrate storm drain filter bags are constructed of 10 percent monofilament with an Apparent Opening Size (AOS) of 40 US Sieve and water flow rate of 145 gpm/ft². The collection area is held to the grate with sturdy webbing straps that are 1.5 inches wide. The tensile strength of the straps is 5,500 pounds, so each filter can hold a large amount of heavy debris with few problems. The catch basin sediment filter can catch leaves that make their way into storm drains. The sturdy straps of the storm drain leaf guard hang underneathe the storm drain grate to catch the falling debris. It is even large enough to work as a storm drain leaf guard in areas with a significant number of trees as a storm drain leaf guard.

The catch basin hopper can easily be installed by only two people and minimal equipment. The secure-connect system keeps the filter in place until it requires emptying.

1. Lift the grate on the storm drain using a grate hook or other lifting equipment.

2. Place the two main webbing straps over the ends of the grate.

3. Attach the four smaller webbing straps over the corners of the grate.

4. Replace the grate with the lifting equipment.

5. Confirm that the straps are lying flat against the grate. There should be no excess webbing above the grate.
