The 16 oz/yd² nonwoven geotextile is the heaviest weight textile available and offers a grab tensile strength of 380 lbs., which is more than most woven geotextiles can hold. Made of the highly durable polypropylene fabric, these nonwoven geotextiles are known for their strength and puncture resistance. The 16 oz nonwoven filter fabric is also highly resistant to UV exposure, rot and other ground chemicals. The fabric is manufactured using a needle-punched process that increases flexibility in the fabric. The geotextile fabric can take on the toughest erosion problems for some of the hardest reinforcement jobs. However, if this is more strength than your application needs, lighter weights are available with grab tensile options as low as 80 pounds.
