Straw Erosion Mat Features

A straw erosion mat is a temporary erosion control solution. Its main design is to limit the effects of erosion in low-flow or medium flow areas. Because of its all-natural, biodegradable composition, the straw erosion mat is able to facilitate the growth of plants and allow for strong root systems to develop. The erosion mat comes in straw mat rolls that are either single net or double net. Straw mat rolls are made up of either 100 percent wheat straw, a combination of wheat straw and coconut fiber, or 100 percent coconut fibers.
