Type 2 Contractor silt curtains are the most inexpensive of the Type 2 models. They are best suited for short projects near flowing streams and creeks with low silt levels. For example, the Parks and Recreation department may wish to create jogging trails near a small running river. Contractor floating turbidity barriers will keep project dust and dirt from spreading through the water and carrying it down stream.

Type 2 Permeable Silt Curtain

Type 2 permeable silt curtain is specifically designed for moving water with currents up to 1 knot. When the current creates build up and pressure on the curtain, the geotextile panel allows water to filter through while still containing any sediment. The reinforced stitching prevents any separation between the PVC frame and the permeable monofilament section.
