Fixed Seabins are floating trash skimmers that filter plastic pollution, debris, and other pollutants from water. The Fixed Seabin can be moored and attached to fixed vertical docks, not floating docks. They sit partially submerged and pump debris-filled water through a catch bag, retaining the pollutants and filtering out clean water.
Fixed Seabins use a 110V/ 220V pump to take water from a canal, river, or marina through a bin, where plastics and debris are captured in a reusable bag. Water is then pumped back into the body of water after oil and hydrocarbons are captured with an absorbent pad. Seabins work 24 hours a day, and 365 days a year, pumping water from bodies of water. For this reason, these ocean trash cans require consistent maintaining and emptying.
While features and benefits for the Fixed Seabin resemble that of the mobile Seabin, there are some differences:
- Aluminum H beam of 5.11 inches (140 mm)
- Chemical sealing
- Easy maintenance
- Easy to move and moor
- Lifting handle maintenance and dismantling
