The mobile Seabin is a filtration system moored on fixed docks and canals to filter plastic pollution from waterways. These floating trash bins come equipped with their own modular docks made with high density polyethylene.
Because mobile Seabins are moored to fixed docks, they can be moved between slips, showing the same amount of containment capability as other Seabins. Stormwater debris, plastics, and oils all find their way into canals and waterways, especially after major storms and floods. Municipalities will need a way to control this influx of pollutants before they reach the water table and open ocean.
Controlling any influx of debris is accomplished with a floating ocean trash can. Floating trash collectors pump trash-filled water through a catch bag, capturing the debris and pollutants and sending the clean water back into the waterway.
